Yoga Teacher Training: Personal Reflections from Week 15

Yoga Teacher Training in Vancouver: Personal Reflections

I’m lying in bed, sipping a great cup of java and feeling pleasantly sore, yet strong!

We completed week # 15 of 23 of our Hatha Yoga Teacher Training at Open Door Yoga in Vancouver yesterday and I came away with such a feeling of appreciation for our training teachers, the quality of the yoga teacher training at Open Door and the amazing other students!

In yoga training as with my coach training, I feel that I have found my tribe of folks who have similar values and desires to live a conscious life.  I think I’m the oldest student in class and I absolutely love the energy and joie de vivre of the younger women!

Through yoga, I have gained an expanded sense of my inner physical and emotional life and feel more of a mind body connection, not to mention, more energy, strength and a deeper spiritual connection.

Yoga encompasses all religious and spiritual beliefs and is in alignment with the Universal Laws.

I truly valued the reminders yesterday from Hogan to dream big!  Sometimes a life coach needs inspiration and heart centered support from another life coach, thanks Hogan!

Towards the end of the day, ie around 4 pm, this ‘midlife’ body feels a tad tired, yet after completing our final asana practice of the day, I always feel renewed and calmed.

I am so excited to be able to teach more chair yoga and prenatal and hatha yoga classes in the future!

in peace & mindfulness,
