“Youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind. You are as old as your doubt, your fear, your despair. The way to keep young is to keep your faith young. Keep your self-confidence young. Keep your hope young.†– Luella F. Phean author

I discovered this quote recently pondered how I keep my hope and faith young. I still feel about 29 years old inside, so I feel young most of the time (except in the last week when I have had a nasty cough and feel about 95 years old).Â
I do find that my thinking gets stale if I am not careful, so what works for me is my “sacred morning routine”.
Almost every morning I spend time reading inspirational, spiritually uplifting writing (my favs are Eckhart Tolle, Wayne Dyer, Louise Hay, Joan Boryshenko, Tao De Ching, Jon Kabat Zinn), meditating (using lovingkindness meditation, “may I be filled with loving kindness, may I be well, may I be peaceful and at ease, may I be happy” and then turn it to include others, ie may all be filled with lovingkindness etc….), I focus on gratitude and then review my dreams and intentions for the future (adding in affirmations). It always works! Give it a try!
namaste,
Zoey
