Green Tip of the Week, July 5, 08 Make Your Own Glass Cleaner

I learned this tip from my mom and from one of my employers while working as a car hop in Fort St. John in 1973!

Mix your own window & glass cleaner: ¼ white vinegar and ¾ water and use old newspapers to clean the glass instead of paper towels!

It may sound weird to use the newspapers, however, I guarantee that you will have a streakless result!

  1. I heard a good one today. Use undiluted grocery store vinegar to kill weeds. I have yet to try it but it sounds entertaining 🙂

  2. Tanya,

Thanks for that tip, it is along the lines of using undiluted white vinegar to kill fungal infections like on roses and toes 🙂

From what I understand, because of the ph of vinegar, it has natural anti fungal properties.
