Earth Day 2018

Earth Day

As predicted Earth Day 2018 is focusing attention on how ‘plastics’ are becoming a global environmental issue of mounting proportions. This struck home very personally yesterday as we celebrated my eldest daughters’ 30th Birthday with a family party and I purchased a helium filled balloon bouquet for my daughter, well really for my grandson as he loves the ‘boombas’.

Earlier in the day, I had tweeted about Earth Day and how important individual action is.

I realized the irony and vow to stop buying balloon bouquets and to support a move to ‘greener’ parties and celebrations of all kinds, in addition to the other ‘green’ action we have been taking all along.
