As a life coach I remind the women I work with that starting the day with written affirmations and an intention for the day, is a beautiful way to wake up and welcome your morning!
This morning after my very short (ie 7 minute) yoga practice, I did 3 minutes of gentle breath focused meditation and then wrote my affirmations for the day:
I am wise, I am strong, I am vibrant, I am supported, I am open to possibilities, I listen and respond to the messages of my body, mind, heart, and spirit, I am flexible and fit, I am healthy in mind, body, spirit and emotions, I am the creative director of my life.
I used the traditional loving kindness meditation for my intention for the day for self and others. I do this meditation first for me and then I substitute the work ‘I” for “all” and it ends up like this:
May all be filled with loving kindness.
May all be well
May all be peaceful and at ease
May all be well
