No, my husband does not need to get jealous, although he should read this book too! I’m talking about “small is the new big: and 183 other riffs, rants, and remarkable business ideas” by Seth Godin. I have read (well, kind of skimmed might be more accurate) some of his other books and really like his writing style and his words. When I sat down to read “small is the new big” I was prepared to enjoy it but wasn’t counting and learning so much and having a “light bulb moment”!
I have long been fascinated with computers, technology, marketing and how the brain works. Given that I am a work from home entrepreneur and live in a kind of crazy family with three teenage daughters, a dog, 2 cats, one turtle and one adorable husband, I haven’t had time to learn all that much about technology, let’s just say, I am not a techie.
Somehow though, with reading “small is the new big”, my brain started making connections in a new way and I went “holy moly, why didn’t I see this before” about my vision for my business with respect to marketing. It was a true lightbulb moment! I can’t even describe what my light bulb said (I don’t have the language to describe it, it is a mess of matrixed thinking), nor which part of the book inspired me, it was the whole package. Not to mention that I learned a whole bunch of new (for me) stuff about technology.
So, get yourself a copy and see what happens!
