Holistic Health Tip: Try A Breakfast Blueberry Smoothie Recipe to Start the Day!
I slept in a little bit this morning and so decided that after my walk, I would make a super duper power smoothie instead of a fuller breakfast. This is a recipe that our family has perfected over the years. Enjoy!
Blueberry Breakfast Smoothie
soy milk, almond milk or cow’s milk
plain yogurt
1 avocado
1 banana
frozen blueberries
1 – 2 Tbsp. flax seed oil
1/4 c of hemp hearts
We mix it up with a couple of cubes of ice in the blender and viola! It is perfect to start the day. Of course you can mix it up abit by changing the types of fruit. Adding the avocado is an essential part though as it gives the smoothie extra creaminess. Give it a try!
